Around the UC: The Cup Victory Tour Continues

-The Cup keeps on moving...

Tuesday:

"That's Adam Burish with the Stanley Cup on a rooftop across the street from Wrigley Field during the Cubs-A's game on Tuesday night. At right is teammate Dave Bolland." (source)

Wednesday:

"The Blackhawks' Stanley Cup tour continued on Wednesday, when Colin Fraser, Kris Versteeg, Andrew Ladd and Troy Brouwer brought the Cup to Ellen Degeneres' 'Ellen's Somewhat Special Special' that was taping at the Chicago Theatre. The show will air Sunday, June 27 at 8 p.m. on TBS." (source)

-The players won't be the only change to the Blackhawks coming in the summer months:

"The Atlanta Thrashers reportedly have asked for and been granted permission to speak to Hawks associate coach John Torchetti to fill their head coaching vacancy."

"Mike Haviland, another Hawks assistant, could also be in demand and it has been rumored the New Jersey Devils could be interested." (source)

Bittersweet to be honest. On one hand, they have a great opportunity to be a head coach and on the other, we lose two great Coaches.

-Possibly one of the greatest jobs in the world: Stanley Cup Chaperone
So who's the lucky guy who got the job, Mike Bolt. I'm betting he has more than a few stories to tell, eleven years full of stories.

Bolt: "Everywhere you go, whether it's New Jersey or wherever, teams say, 'You guys are the greatest fans ever,' and they should be thanking their fans. But to be honest, in my 11 years I haven't experienced anything even close to Chicago. Detroit and Colorado were pretty wild, but Chicago has been unbelievable. We can't go anywhere without being mobbed."

    2. We should also go to that French Pastry School and steal that chocolate Cup :)

  6. By the way, why are there subtitles with the Hossa faceoff video? I mean, his english is not the best but it's not like it's impossible to understand him or anything, right?
