Around the UC: Prospect Camp

-Blackhawks Prospect Camp will be this weekend. It starts Friday at Johnny's Ice House West. All sessions will be open to the public, Friday's session starts at 10 a.m. You can go check out the skills of the first round draft pick, Kevin Hayes and the rest of the picks. One name might look and sound awfully familiar, Versteeg. The brother of Kris Versteeg, Mitch, has been invited to camp. It will be interesting to see if he is as musically talented as his brother.

A complete list of the all the players here
A complete list of the days and times here

-Niemi held a press conference in Finland today. HockeyBroad was nice of enough to translate a couple of articles from today, which you can read here. There was no detailed talk of signings and contracts. Mostly about his time with the Cup, which he will have at the end of the summer.

-Toews has won and received a lot of things over the past few months but the newest to the list, a lake. PuckDaddy did some research and found out there will now be a lake in Manitoba named, Toews Lake. If you didn't think hockey was serious in Canada already think again. Now who wants to go fishing? Read more about the best lake in Canada here

-With all the talk and no talk of Kim Johnsson it has been confirmed he had a concussion. It is a very serious concussion so serious that he will probably never play hockey again. Minnesota's StarTribune has the full story here. Feel truly sorry for the guy and it's even worse the rumors that have been said about him especially the rumor I heard a few months back, which has been deleted. Wish him good luck in whatever he does and hope he'll touch the ice again.

-Love Nascar and Duncan Keith? Well, you're in luck. On July 10th, Duncs will be the Grand Marshal of the Sprint Cup Series at ChicagoLand Speedway: We are honored to have him join us and help us get things going for the Lifelock.com 400.” See all the details here

-Stalk the Cup: Toews will bring the Cup to Winnipeg this weekend the celebration will start at 11 a.m. at City Hall Court Yard and then there will be a parade. Read more about it here

-Great lengthy article of Duncs: Keith Finally has chance to reflect on historic season: "I wouldn’t say it was as good as ‘The Hangover,’ but we had a good time."

-Lastly, don't forget to vote for Paul Konerko in the All Star Game's Final Vote here! Go White Sox!
