Around the UC:

Hopeful and Confident: Those are two words I love to hear when it involves Niemi. Those words were somewhat uttered by Niemi's agent on "The Mully & Hanley show" today. You can listen to the show here

Midnight Date with Sharp: Soon to be one of your most cherished items, the 2010 Stanley Cup Champions DVD. Make it even more memorable with a signature from Sharp, Bolland, or Soupy. Sharp will be doing a midnight signing on July 19th, while Bolland and Soupy will be signing during the day on July 20th. You can see all the details here

The Opening Day Line-up: We know the team will look different come opening day, but with the summer half way done it's still a mystery to who exactly will be on the ice that day. We all know our beloved core will be bowing there heads to the national anthem, but who else. Jesse Rogers took a whack at what we can expect: An early look at the Hawks' roster. Melissa Isaccson decided to breakdown the heartbreak we've all been through the past couple of weeks: Blackhawks' facelift getting painful.

Where in Canada is Stanley?: Ladd and the Cup have become old pals, he will bring his friend home for the second time this weekend: "It's sharing it with everybody; family, friends, the community, the coaches -- everybody who helped you along the path." The Cup won't have to travel to far this week, it will be making its way around the BC area. Fraser's day is today: "You grew up watching guys lift the Cup after they'd won it, so to be able to do that in person is awesome." Read more here. Boynton recently had the Cup, you can read a Q and A with him here. Best quality video I could find of his day:
