Rocked Like A HurriKANE

It appeared to be another one of those games. The Hawks get a penalty and crap under pressure on the penalty kill.

It was all too familiar when the Sens took a 1-0 lead with a powerplay goal (Keith, hooking). Patrick "should be an All-Star" Sharp redirected Soupy's shot for his 24th goal:

"Red jersey, black skates
And I don't know where I am goin' to
Black gloves, white tape
I don't need a reason why
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
Coz' every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man"

There are several words to use to describe the move Kane used on the Sens. Let's take a page out of Urban Dictionary: owned, schooled, served, burned, treated, or bitch slapped (to be clear, none of these words are in my usual vocabulary). Maybe bitch slapped, that one is fun to say. Kane (insert your choice of word) Karlsson as he stripped the puck away to give the Hawks a 2-1 lead. It was a beauty. His first since Nov. 30.

The game was somewhat of a nice, laid back game. Maybe even a little slow or boring at times. Or maybe I should just stop thinking too quickly. I ate my words when the Sens tied the game 2-2 late in the third. The joy of overtime.

For the majority of overtime, the Hawks zone remained untouched. But what's the fun in overtime if you don't have his buddy, shootout too? We got a double dose of free hockey. Toews came out and effortlessly put one in. He makes walking on water look easy. Kane got his and "bada boom bada bing" the Hawks win 3-2.

-Leddy was impressive. He was solid the entire game.
-Only ONE penalty for the Hawks. Now that's a one goal.
-Hendry, partners with Leddy, didn't stink up the place.
-Pat and Eddie referring to a lady's hat to a bread bowl from Panera.
-Blood! Ahh! The Sens' Neil was hit with a stick by his own teammate.
-Daniel Alfredsson's mustache sucks.
-It's good to see you Patrick Kane.

The Blackhawks play the Islanders on Sunday for 1961 heritage night at 6:00pm.
