Toews practiced with the team for the first time, since his shoulder injury. Two weeks has now been changed to day to day. Happy New Year! Now that's a good reason to raise your glass.

Toews: “It’s not 100 percent, but I’m pretty happy where it is right now, considering the normal diagnosis for this injury is around two weeks. It’s been getting better every day so that’s obviously a good sign. If it keeps going at this pace, hopefully it’ll be quicker than that.” (source)

Crawford and Pisani both had the flu. That's the last time they ever share a New Year's kiss. Crawford will start on Sunday and Pisani is also expected to return.
