Kopecky Follows Campbell to Sunshine State

A Guest Post by Queen Crash

It seems like Dale Tallon is determined to turn the Florida Panthers into the next Blackhawks of the south. Earlier today it was confirmed that the Cats had obtained the negotiating rights to Chicago's Tomas Kopecky, a restricted free agent. In return, the Hawks get a conditional 7th round pick in next year's draft. Kopecky, a member of the 2010 Cup winning team, will join former Hawks Brian Campbell and Jack Skille in Florida this upcoming season.

So let's run down the check list:
Dale Tallon? Check.
Jack Skille? Check.
Brian Campbell? Check.
Tomas Kopecky? Check.

Florida is sure looking like the BlackPanthers to me! And hey, Jake Dowell was not offered a qualifying offer (UFA's Chris Campoli, Michael Frolik and Victor Stalberg were), so you never know, he may join his former Chicago brethren in Florida come July first if the Blackhawks do not snatch him back up. You just never know...
